Clifton Sanitation District is seeking a Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator to join their team and are seeking a highly motivated and outgoing individual. This full-time position performs a variety of skilled, semi-skilled, and non-skilled technical duties in the operation and maintenance of the District’s 2.5 MGD Wastewater Treatment Plant.

Preferred candidates should have a Level A, B, C or D Wastewater certification, a minimum of two years’ experience in water or wastewater treatment facility operations, plus a high school diploma (or equivalent), supplemented by college level courses in biology or related fields. Working knowledge of SCADA, plus computer skills in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred. Applicants must also possess a valid driver’s license and have the ability to obtain a Colorado CDL license within six months of hire. Any combination of experience, training, or education that provides the required knowledge and abilities is preferred but willing to train the right candidate. It is important to have good verbal and written communication skills and be a self-starter. Successful candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screening, background check, and physical.

Non-exempt $20.30 – $34.45 per hour.

Salary will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.

  • Grounds and Facilities Maintenance

Clifton Sanitation District is accepting applications for a full-time facility and grounds maintenance position which includes a wide variety of landscape management activities including irrigation, herbicide application, planting, mowing, and trimming as well as building upkeep and repairs.

Applicants must possess a valid Colorado driver’s license, pass pre-employment drug screening, background check, and physical. 60-day allowance for acquisition of pesticide licenses.

Non-exempt $24.47 – $28.06 per hour DOQ and experience.
